Stephanie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oral Roberts University and a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Kansas. She also completed the play therapy certification program at Heartland Play Therapy Institute and is a Registered Play Therapist. Additionally, she has completed Level I and Level II Theraplay training, a play therapy approach that specifically targets issues of attachment as well regulation difficulties experienced by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and ADHD. Stephanie has used her training and desire to help children with regulation issues in several settings including community mental health and non-profit early-childhood programs. Stephanie's work with children and families is centered around healing the parent-child relationship and helping families create moments of meaning and connection. Stephanie is a transplant from Kansas but now considers the South her home. She lives in Huntsville with her husband and two sons.
